Five modules across five days. Designed by Dr. Andrej Godina, one of the most respected names in coffee. He holds a PhD in the coffee industry and is an SCA-licensed trainer and master barista. You finish with the skills and certificate to work as a professional barista or elevate your own coffee practice.

Day 1

Espresso extraction, grinder calibration, milk foaming and texturing, machine workflow, health and safety. You’ll pull your first shots, steam your first milk, and start building the muscle memory that separates trained baristas from self-taught ones.

Day 2

Bean origins, roasting science, extraction theory, sensory evaluation. You’ll taste across origins and roast profiles, learning to identify acidity, sweetness, body and flavour notes. Includes four brewing methods: espresso, French Press, Chemex, and AeroPress.

Day 3

Seven brewing processes, side by side. Theory, technique and equipment for each method. You’ll calibrate recipes, evaluate results through structured tasting, and finish with a dedicated latte art session.

Day 4

Advanced extraction, latte art patterns, workflow under pressure. Two days building speed, consistency and creative confidence behind the machine. Plus customer service, cost control, and the business fundamentals behind a profitable café.

Day 5

Theory and practical assessment covering everything from the week. Pass and you graduate with the EBS certificate, recognised across the industry and backed by the world’s largest bartender school.

No. This course gives you an introduction to the main modules of the SCA curriculum, Introduction to Coffee, Barista Skills, and Brewing, which are the foundations employers value. The official SCA exams are taken separately through an authorised SCA trainer (AST), usually as a dedicated course. If you decide to pursue SCA certification after this course, your instructors can point you in the right direction.
